ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Lucy Prendergast, I’m a filmmaker from Vancouver, Canada. I was an actor for most of my childhood, working on commercials, TV shows, and movies. As a teenager I realized my passion lied behind the camera and I started venturing into more creative roles. I’ve written and directed two short films, as well as a handful of other creative video projects. I’m currently studying Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. My main focus is screenwriting, I am a storyteller at heart. Beyond filmmaking, I love photography, music, travelling, cooking, and visual art.

My first film, OH, NECROMANCER was an official selection at the 2022 All American Highschool Film Festival and an Honourable Mention at the 2022 Student World Impact Film Festival. My second film, TERMINAL CITY was nominated for Best International Film at the 2022 All American Highschool Film Festival, won Best Art Direction at the 2023 BC Student Film Festival, and was an Honourable Mention at the 2022 Student World Impact Film Festival.

In 2024 my un-produced screenplay I.C.E.E (Intergalactic Cultural Exploration Endeavour) was a semi-finalist in The Script Lab’s 2024 Free Screenplay Contest.
